Passion for Purple
Last week I was obsessed with Korres Raspberry Lipstick but we all know that obsessions are short lived. Today I went in search of the perfect purple gloss and I found two that um, may have accompanied me home. Illamasqua Fierce is just that. It comes on strong and full of color. You can start out slow with a light layer for day and go full throttle for night. Sephora Tangy Bite is more sheer than Fierce. It is luxuriously glossy and sexy. See why I love them both?
Week in Wedges!
There are so many great wedges to choose from. Personally I think shades of blue are more fun than the standard nude. So many options…..which one do you want? Kate Spade Melania ($125 on sale)
The Rear View Test
Ladies, are you forgetting to take the Rear View Test before you leave the house? Based on the amount of visible panty lines, booty cheeks swinging, wrong choice of undergarments, and unflattering fabrics for shapely backsides, I think so! The Rear View Test Questions:
A Little TLC for Our Feet
I am not the kinda gal who carries her heels in her bag until she gets to work. Not gonna happen. Not now. Not ever. Because of this, my feet have always gotten a little extra TLC. Here are some products and tips that you too can use to keep your feet happy.
The Adhesive Bra That Works
Sometimes a strapless bra isn’t the answer. If you find yourself in this situation, try adhesive bra cups. You can find them at stores with lingerie sections including Macys, Nordstrom, and Target. If a prom store is close by, pretty good chance they will have them too. Keep in mind a few things… – If you generally need a lot of support, these are probably not a good option for you – These work best when skin is dry. Not recommended during the higher temperature summer days. They literally will slide off if you sweat excessively. I can attest to this personally. ‘Nuff said. – Most effective under a dress or structured top. Stick with strapless bras for tanks tops and other like tops. Let me know if you find a brand that works for you. JC
My New Obsession: Korres Raspberry Liquid Lipstick

Easy to Follow Make Up Manuals (And Some Tips)
I am frequently asked how I learned to do my make up so well. There are a couple of ways that helped along the way. The first is that I read quite a few manuals to understand the basics. There are so many tips and tricks and the experts are the best at providing them.
A year later… Update from a client
After working with a client for over a year, she sent me a great update email to say hello and tell me what she has been up to. In addition to sharing pictures of new purchases, she sent along pictures of herself looking fantastic and grinning ear to ear. Her email was chock full of good stuff but this resonated with me the most: “I’m not saving clothes “for good” but rather dressing well when I can because I’ve invested in the clothes and I want to wear them. I’ve never worried about looking overdressed so I just go with looking fabulous.” How fabulous is that?:-) Jami
Finally! A Natural Looking Self Tanner.
After trying countless self tanners and watching turning my legs turn various shades of orange over the years, a miracle has happened. As I was perusing Lorac and looking for my go to bronzer, I discovered they introduced a self tanner. Who is the happy camper now? ME! I ran with glee to the counter and purchased SelfTANtalizer Body Bronzing Gradual Self-Tanner & Mitt. I ran home, stripped down and applied the self tanner with the mitt that comes with the product. No bronzed palms, no more funky streaks or weird dark spots. And the best part, no orange legs. Completely natural and fast drying. If you want the natural healthy look you get at the beach, apply every couple of days if you want the natural beachy glow. Just remember that this is like every other self tanner in that it doesn’t penetrate past the first layer of skin. So don’t forget to exfoliate and shave before applying.
